01
Data Ownership: Local-First
Your training data belongs to you.
- Core Metrics — Power, cadence, resistance, and heart rate are processed locally on your device to drive the HUD and Bluetooth broadcast.
- No Hidden Tracking — We do not run background analytics, session recording, or sell your training history to third parties.
02
Game Leaderboards & Firebase
To provide a community experience in games like Solo Catamaran and Outrun, we use a secure Firebase backend.
- What is Shared — Only your chosen nickname and game score are sent to the global leaderboard.
- What is NOT Shared — Your weight, age, heart rate, or specific GPS/location data is never uploaded to our servers.
- Opt-Out — If you prefer to ride in "Ghost Mode," you can choose not to submit your scores to the public board.
03
Device Safety & Permissions
VeloPlay and TribeView are built to respect your hardware.
- Non-Invasive — Our apps run as a standard application layer. We do not "root" your tablet or modify the core Android system files.
- Permissions — We only request access to Bluetooth (for sensor bridging) and Storage (for offline caching of lessons or map data).
04
Third-Party Integrations
When you use the Utility Browser to stream YouTube, Netflix, or News, you are interacting directly with those providers.
- VeloPlay acts as a secure "window" for your content.
- We do not intercept your login credentials or browsing history.
05
Updates & Security
To ensure your experience is always optimized for the latest v1/v2 hardware tweaks, the app may perform a lightweight version check upon launch via Firebase. This keeps your workflow running smoothly with the latest performance patches.
